Hiring a salesperson in Wallonia: what the figures say

Le Forem, the Walloon public employment service, lists technical sales representative among its 2026 shortage occupations in Wallonia. It rates the tension as low but names two causes: technical knowledge of the products sold, and professional experience. Citing Statbel labour force survey data, it adds that at least a third of the people in this job are over 50 (Le Forem occupation sheet, in French).

Our fee is set before we start, in the written proposal you receive 48 to 72 hours after the first call. It depends on the languages required, the management level, technical complexity and how hard the assignment is. We work on a retainer, never a success fee: you commit to the assignment, and we commit to seeing it through, however long it takes.

We follow up with the new hire for the first three months, and a 6-month replacement guarantee applies. On assignments carried through to placement, our success rate is above 75%.
