Sales Manager

To strengthen Continental’s position in Commercial Specialty Tyres, the company is currently recruiting a Sales Manager CST for the Benelux markets.


The Role

  • To be overall responsible for the P&L of all CST product segments (Industrial Material Handling, Agriculture, Earthmoving and Port Operations) and channels (Original Equipment and Replacement) in the Benelux markets.
  • To lead, develop, implement, and manage sales and operational strategies to achieve planned profits from volume, mix and revenue performance in the assigned markets.
  • To support direction and communication of all CST topics across all business functions ensuring strategy is understood and supported by all local and central functions.
  • To lead a small team and ensure team development and empowerment.
  • To build strong relationships with external partners, distributors, and customers.
  • To take the lead in negotiation and business development in alignment with agreed strategy and targets for the assigned markets.
  • To spread the business vision within the markets, aligning customer, market and Continental’s direction and seeking out new strategic opportunities.


The Profile

  • Through your previous successful experience in the industrial world or a business model where you have already worked with distributors or importers, you know the ins and outs like no other.
  • As a salesperson, you have business development skills combined with strong skills in building, developing and maintaining long-term business relationships.
  • People management experience is not required, but you do have the interest in and talent for coaching and motivating a small team.
  • You have excellent analytical skills, enabling you to sketch out a good picture of a situation or deal quickly and efficiently with a complex situation.
  • Good negotiation skills enable you to convince and build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have a solid business understanding of key processes and tools, especially regarding budgeting and forecasting sales volumes and revenue, margins, and profit calculations.
  • You combine good planning and organisation with excellent communication skills.
  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English are a must, additional French language skills are a strong plus.
