Archetype recruits salespeople, Key Account Managers, Channel Managers and leaders for manufacturers, importers and distributors of electronic devices and components in Belgium. Our core business is sales, marketing and management profiles, which account for over 90% of our assignments. Assignments run in French, Dutch or English, on a retainer, in 12 weeks on average, with a 6-month replacement guarantee. We have recruited sales profiles since 1993.

A market where you mostly sell to intermediaries

In electronics, manufacturers rarely sell to end users. Between them sit a subsidiary or importer, distributors, retail chains, online platforms and integrators. Many brands run Belgium with a small Benelux sales team, so every hire weighs on the year’s revenue.

There are two sales jobs. Consumer electronics is negotiated with retail buyers: range, promotions, sell-in and sell-out, short product cycles. Professional electronics and components are sold to design offices and integrators, over long cycles where the salesperson has to understand the client’s application. Your brief has to say which one you need.

Roles we recruit. Technical, logistics and shop roles are outside our scope.

Why these profiles are hard to find

VDAB’s Knelpuntberoepen 2026 study puts it plainly: employers look for combinations of skills, including commercial and technical knowledge and languages, which sometimes makes suitable candidates hard to find. The same study lists the B2B sales representative as a shortage occupation in Flanders. In Wallonia, Le Forem added the electrical and electronic equipment technician to its 2026 shortage list: a technical role outside our core business, but a sign that technical jobs in the sector are under strain too.

Sales roles to fill in electronics

A Benelux subsidiary often works in Dutch, French and English. We recruit in all three. If you sell industrial equipment, see also our industrial recruitment page.

We’re specialists: Sales, Marketing, Management. Not generalists. When a generalist agency recruits a Sales Director, they read the CV. We know the actual job: the real trade-offs between prospecting and farming, what it means to lead a distributed trilingual team across the Benelux, how to build a commercial strategy that holds in complex B2B. That field-level understanding is what separates a placement that lasts from one that breaks at 18 months.

How an assignment works

On the first call we challenge your brief: consumer or professional, hunting or account management, must-have languages. Written proposal within 48 to 72 hours, then sourcing, structured screening, candidate presentations with scorecard, interview transcripts and KOAN test, and follow-up during onboarding. Average time to hire: 12 weeks. Fees are set before the assignment starts, in a written proposal, on a retainer basis: never a success fee. 6-month replacement guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to recruit a Key Account Manager in electronics?

Fees are set before the assignment starts, in a written proposal, on a retainer basis: never a success fee. 6-month replacement guarantee.

How long does it take?

12 weeks on average from signing the assignment to the candidate signing.

Do you recruit electronics technicians or engineers?

No. We recruit sales, marketing and leadership roles only. For technicians, development engineers or shop staff, contact a technical recruitment specialist, a temporary staffing agency, Le Forem, VDAB or Actiris.

Can you find a Dutch-speaking or trilingual profile?

Yes. We recruit in French, Dutch and English, across Belgium and the Netherlands.

Does the candidate need to know the sector’s distributors already?

Not always. For a Channel Manager, an existing network saves months. For a Sales Engineer, understanding the client’s application often matters more. We settle this with you in the scorecard before sourcing.

Need to strengthen the sales team of your electronics brand or distribution business in Belgium? Describe the role and we will come back with a proposal within 48 to 72 hours.
